About PUBLIC SOLUTIONS JOBS

To supercharge a new era of public innovation, we need cutting-edge research, new tools, and top talent.

This website is sponsored by the Working Group on Public Solutions R&D, the Tobin Center for Economic Policy at Yale University, Stanford Impact Labs, the California Policy Lab, the University of Chicago Crime Lab, the University of Chicago Education Lab, the Harvard Kennedy School Government Performance Lab, Harvard Impact Labs, and the Abdul Latif Jameel Poverty Action Lab (J-PAL North America).

The Working Group on Public Solutions R&D is a team of university social scientists and civic leaders working to catalyze public innovation and help governments solve problems.

The Tobin Center for Economic Policy at Yale University reduces the time from research to impact. By enabling more policy-relevant research at Yale and bringing it to the policy arena, we seek to strengthen families, communities, and the nation.

Stanford Impact Labs invests in scholars and practitioners working to solve the world’s biggest social problems.

The California Policy Lab (CPL) generates research insights for government impact. Through hands-on partnerships with government agencies, CPL performs rigorous research across issue silos and builds the data infrastructure necessary to improve programs and policies that millions of Californians rely on every day.

The University of Chicago Crime Lab designs, tests, and scales data-driven innovations to improve the public sector’s response to the dual challenges of America’s gun violence crisis and a criminal justice system that is not truly just.

The University of Chicago Education Lab partners with school districts to design, test, and scale programs to ensure all students have the opportunity for future success.

The Harvard Kennedy School Government Performance Lab (GPL) helps governments build more just and effective service systems that deliver better outcomes for their communities. They do this by working closely with state and local governments to design, test, and scale promising solutions to pressing social problems.

Harvard Impact Labs supports top researchers and changemakers tackling today’s biggest challenges – together.

The Abdul Latif Jameel Poverty Action Lab (J-PAL) is a global research center, based at MIT, working to reduce poverty by ensuring that policy is informed by scientific evidence. J-PAL North America leads J-PAL’s work in the North America region. J-PAL North America conducts randomized evaluations, builds partnerships for evidence-informed policymaking, and helps partners scale up effective programs.
